Hi All,

I'm a complete newbie to Maemo, and just received my N900 this morning. I've been getting the dreaded reset bug straight out of the box (it's now hitting me every 5 to 10 minutes, or every time I use the device for longer than 3 minutes)
So, I have been trying to do the workaround to change the "permanent fix" from Nokia discussions here http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/...cending&page=2

but every time I type in sudo gainroot in the pre-installed X-Terminal, I am getting a message - "Enable RB mode if you want to break your device".

Can someone let me know what I'm doing wrong here?

  1. Visit the Rootsh page on Downloads using the browser on your N900.
  2. Tap the green "Install" link on that page.
  3. Follow the instructions that appear on your N900, approving the installation of Rootsh.
  4. Try the "reboot fix" instructions again.
