Which flv can you not play? I can play flv files fine that have been downloaded with zoutube as well as others.

Same here, I downloaded some Youtube videos via the RealPlayer on my PC. The video files are downloaded/ saved as FLV format. I transferred these video files to my N900, but the N900 default media player doesn't play/recognize it, even though I installed the new Decoders Support app. Any insight?

i downloaded this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjgIJhXChwE to my pc using orbit downloader. transferred to the phone using ssh. the file has a question mark so when i try to open it would ask which program to open it with so i choose media player, it would load for a second then say media format not supported

I don't remember there being a pause button on it so i can buffer the video because i have a at&t card in it and edge speed is slow. I remember trying it earlier today and it just wasn't loading so I kept pressing the screen hoping a media payer interface would pop up with a pause button and nothing so i exited and decided not to use it again.
Was i just too impatient?

My experience with FLV files:
If i click on it in filemanager it opens window when I am asked to choose which application to use to open the file.
But If I open Multimedia player video is showed in main video folder and I can play it.

i have similar problems with flv files. i download them from zoutube, and the only way i can play them is if i go to file manager, and then select media player from the list of available programs. it never remembers this choice. it would be great if the files appeared under "video" in the media player app, but the flv files never do.

I have no problem with FLV files in the media player after installing zoutube. Installing zoutube will also install the codecs for playing FLV.

Maybe you have to reboot your device after installing the new codecs?
