Pretty much the topic.

I imported my music from media player (where everything's pretty much perfect) and N900 has barely any album art and almost everything has reset to what it was before i went and categorized all of my music!

Currently you can't edit the metadata in the N900 media player.
I would suggest to use MediaMonkey or similar and connect the N900 in mass storage mode. Then browsing with mediamonkey to N900 music folder and editing / updating the files with the Auto-Tag function.

Remember when updating the album art that the N900 supports only album art that is in added into the songs metadata, eg not folder.jpg...

Mussorgsky in extras testing at the moment, have not used it my self as my media monkey tagged songs all came across beautifully, and really good to see N900 keep to ID3 ways of doing things.

BS. Album art is shown just fine in the media player if the directory contains a picture with a word cover in it's name. The art has to be added before the album is indexed (or media has to be re-indexed) for the art to be shown.

Might still be worth filing an enhancement request against the media player as adding metadata editing ought to be pretty simple.
