I'm desperate:

I've chose "2nd language" at the "Text input" , now:

How do I change for the 2nd language while I am using the n900?
(Like while writing SMS for example)

I think you do this:

Sym/Ctrl + Space

Thanks, it is saying it changing but I still can write only in ENGLISH.

The fact is, even if I choose other language than English at the "1st language" I still can type only in English.

OK I got it - it works only in virtual keyboard.

Though Virtual Keyboard works only while the physical keyboard is CLOSED, and to change language I need to OPEN the physical one and do Sym/Ctrl + Space (Bug?)

When you have your on-screen keyboard open, you can change language too. Just touch the fourth icon from the left in the top row and you'll see some options.

A couple of things to check. In text input in the settings have you got it set up with Language 1 = eg English, language 2 = eg Finnish AND Dictionary 1 = eg English, Dictionary 2 = eg Finnish?

Then when using the hardware QWERTY you only need to press Ctrl and space bar, you don't need the Sym key. This will toggle between the two languages predictive input by using the 2nd language dictionary.

Do note, at least it appears to me, if for example I write with English on, and type the odd word in Finnish, it appears to remember these Finnish words in the English dictionary as well. Bit odd but rather handy too when writing in mixed languages.
