Is it just my connection, or is maemo.org becoming increasingly sluggish. Sometimes I cannot even open the site or some pages, they just hang.

I think maemo.org is still waiting for the new server hardware to be put into use. There's just too many users for the current system. So the problem is not with your connection.

The title seems wrong, you mean maemo.org, not maemo, org?

Anyway, seems fine my end in the UK.
Certain parts of maemo are always very very slow, for example bugs

Talk seems fine though

Yes, the servers are really stretching it. The growth in users during the Autumn and Winter have been quite staggering, more than 10x the number of page hits per day as compared to the summer / early Autumn.

The move is ongoing. It's quite a big operation to move all the services in maemo.org to new hardware. There's a lot of stuff happening in garage, the extras repostirories, autobuilder and the whole backend that isn't visible to users, but has to be running all the time. Moving that is a lot of work, ask X-Fade or ferenc.

And talk is on another system altogether. The biggest problems right now are on maemo.org and garage.
