Everytime I open the microB and go to a webpage I get the below message, once per browsing session.

"JavaScript alert

Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you continue to use the session, you might see incorrect application behaviour when accessing security features."

So here's what happened, I had in fennec installed but it never ran smooth it was pretty much unusable and i always thought is odd considering what others hace said about the browser. I uninstalled it and reinstalled (a couple of time) and always had the same result. So i thought maybe when I uninstall there are certain "config" files that remain causing the same lackluster performance everytime i re-install it. So i decided to ssh in and manually delete any files linking to fennec. So dealing with "/home/usr/.mozilla" directory, i moved that to a temp folder on my PC. During the move process, a few notices popped up stating that certain files(i dont remember which) could not be moved, I think these were "lock" files or something. Anyway i disregarded it (thus, my dilemna) and now i get the above message. Of course trying to copy the directory back over didn't do anything, ended up with the same message. I finally reflashed my device with "RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin" using -f -R (I hope thats the right bin file and switches) and unfortunately, i get exactly the same message. I also find it kind of odd that when ssh back into the device it shows a fennec folder and predominently all settings for some apps when i reisntalled them from app mgr.

So, my main question is:
1) how can i replace just the default maemo5 browser? I understand that one can access individual parts of the image (fiasco) with the -u switch; when unpacked, which of those files contain the microb browser info?
2) any idea where i can go if there is a file or setting that just needs to be updated or redirected to point in the right direction?
3) Did I use the right flash .bin file?
thanks

Bada Boom Bada Bing!!!

So after following these instructions:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Could_not_...rity_component

it still did not work, until i removed secmod.db, key3.db and cert8.db from the /home/usr/.mozilla/microb directory

Now all is well. So if you come across this, now you know.

So to recap, close broswer on N900, ssh into device, navigate to /home/usr/.mozilla/microb remove above files, open browser on device. All three files will be created and poof! no more javascript alert
