My school's WiFi requires a combination of encryption/authentication that is not natively available in the "new connections" tab. Is there any way to set this up through the command console?

Hm, it says 'WEP with EAP PEAP, type EAP MSCHAPv2'
Could that be a typo, though? You could try to set it up, just select WPA instead of WEP.

I actually have been trying something like that out:

WPA with EAP --> PEAP --> no certificates, EAP MSCHAPv2 --> then my user name and password

At this point, it will not auto-connect to the school's network and instead defaults to the GPRS connection. When trying to manually connect, it just asks me for the WEP key.

So, it is really WEP+PEAP then. Hmm.

Unfortunately this didn't work. I believe it is as TA-t3 suspected, and that it is a hybrid WEP+PEAP system.

Well, looks like this will never happen.
