I was wondering if the Touch Screen Vibrantions intensity and or length of vibration can be changed?

Most other haptic feedback devices vibrate a bit longer and is more "sure".
But with N900, all my friends don't even feel the little 'jerk' that it does when clicked....

Is this something that can be changed by modifying some file/value?

um...which widget are you talking about? I'd like to try it but...there's no reply to your initial post.

This can be modified in /etc/mce/mce.ini, you'll need to edit this file as root and be very careful because you could break things.

Around line 497 you'll see:
Code:
PatternTouchscreen=10;3;0;1;23;0;15;50;255
Where the red 23 is the accelerate period and the green 0 is the on period.
Increasing the value of either of those should give you a longer touchscreen vibration.

Edit:
In order to test this without rebooting you can kill the mce process by typing
Code:
killall mce
It should restart again after a moment and then you can see if you like the new setting.

Maybe an app for this and not tweak things because we ll "break" the n900.

@jakiman--> Make a brainstorm for this idea and give in this thread the link. Its useful.

I think someone in this thread might alwready be working on something for brainstorm - since the settings for led colours and vibration are both within mce.ini it might be a good idea to have the one app do both things.
