The N800 splash page shows the audio player applet with "88.7 Mhz" where the playing time normally apears. My N800 has a "/dev/radio0" device. This file does not exist on the 770. Some TI bluetooth chipsets have fm radio recievers. If the N800 does indeed have fm radio capability, I expect it would be from one of these chips.

The radio does not seem to be playing (the Play button is visible), and bit rate would be in kbps instead of MHz.

True. But if it can receive and play FM, I'll be very surprised...

use this to capture off that device (from an xterm prompt, possibly as root)...

cat /dev/radio0 > /media/mmc1/test.mp3

then try playing back that file. if the path /media/mmc1/ doesnt exist, replace it with a path that does exist.

Well... it would be nice if it turns up, but don't hold your breath: there were other features planned for the N800 that don't seem to have manifested. And no, I'm not telling what.

I think that is the name of the internet radio station equivalent to it's actual station.

"radio" is part of xawtv
Code:
/ $ cat /dev/radio0 > /media/mmc1/test.mp3
cat: Read Error: Invalid argument
/ $ /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/radio -c /dev/radio0 -qf 94.1
tuned 94.10 MHz
VIDIOCGAUDIO: Invalid argument
VIDIOCSAUDIO: Invalid argument
/ $ /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/radio -c /dev/radio0 -mq
muted radio
VIDIOCGAUDIO: Invalid argument
VIDIOCSAUDIO: Invalid argument
/ $
The radio must be either not yet supported or no longer supported.
