Countdown Timer is now available in Extras-testing. It's fairly simple countdown timer with the following feature:
- One second precision
- Maximum time is 60 minutes

Have you considered a "microwave oven timer" approach for acceptable input times?
That is, 99 seconds could be entered instead of 1 minute 39 seconds. This would allow fewer input digits for some times and a higher maximum time.
99:99 would be 1 hour, 40 minutes, 39 seconds. Of course normal times less than an hour would also work, just as with a microwave oven.
