Hello

I want to protect my N900 and am considering the leather case by noreve which has been recommended at various places on this forum:

http://www.noreve.com/brand/Nokia/pr...Tradition.html

I believe this is the only N900 case by that company. I would like to know two things before I place my order:

1. How is the feeling of making phone calls with that case? Does it feel bulky or clumsy?
2. All wallet-style leather cases I came across use a transparent plastic film wrapped around the keyboard to fix the N900, but there clearly is no such film on that case according to the product pictures. How is the device attached to the case then?

Regards, Matt

I got the Noreve case for N900 yesterday. Good quality product, just like all Noreve cases I've had so far.

Can't really say about making phone calls, as I've not yet called or received calls with the phone in the case.

The phone is held in place by a rim around the case and is actually quite firm. Access to different buttons is still provided. Texting SMS's is also possible, as the screen slides out of the case without any problems.

Noreve are also coming up with a another case for N900, soon probably available from the website.

Thank you. since this sounds promising, I will probably buy that case. You don't know by chance whether the unreleased case is also of 'wallet-style', with an opening front-lid? I'm asking because I would prefer the lid to be attached at the back (on the long side) instead of the left (on the short side). But I can probably deal with both, so thanks for the insight. Asking on t.m.o was much more effective than repeatedly contacting noreve.

I've bought cases for multiple Nokia 6300's, Nokia N95, Nokia N86 Nokia 6600's and I have 2 for N900´s on order from Noreve.

I´ve been thrilled with them all, except for the 6300, the 6300 one was a very different design, probably a older idea and not comparable to the other ones.

The unreleased case is simply a pocket in which you slide the phone into from the top (portrait orientation). The one released is a flip open one and should attach in the middle of the back.

I think my wife now wants a N900, she´s fallen for it so I might get a unreleased C-style case as well just to try it out.

They are "released" in the US but are not in stock. I ordered on the day they were released, Dec. 17th, but they haven´t been shipped from Noreve yet.

I can recommend the Noreve cases, great quality, look good and are a great compliment to nice devices. But watch out for the belt clips. The screws have a habit of getting loose. Perhaps use something like crazy glue or epoxy to keep the screws in place if you intend to use a belt clip.

I've posted a review on the n900 Noreve case here. The review case came in Rogue red. You can find the rest of the images at the link.

@di1in
How'd you find the metal clip? was it much better than the plastic?
Also, is the N900 held in firmly or would it fall out if the popper cam undone?
Thanks

Out of my experience with these cases I'd be more afraid of the belt clasp to come loose of the case then the phone coming out of the case.

Decide on whether or not you are going to use a belt clip. If you are then superglue the belt clip screw in place to keep it there once and for all.

And just so you know, I've bought 3 N900 Noreve cases and bought 8-9 for other types of phones. I learned the hard way not to trust the clip attachment screws.

I just got my noreve case today, and I have to say I am impressed. I normally dont care for the leather cases due to bulk, but it does not add on too much and it is very slick.

I had a rubberized hard case, and I have to say, I think I like this much better!

Any chance you can stick up a few pics too?

Also how easy is it to take pictures? looks like it might be a bit cumbersome with having to fold it over so much?
