Just got my N810 two days ago, so please forgive the possibly basic question that follows:

There's some sort of status LED in the top left corner of the N810 that gently blink or is constantly lit, in various colours.

What do these various blinks and colours mean?

On the N800 it was somewhat simpler - blinking blue simply meant incoming mail or chat/call request. That was it. What's the N810 trying to tell me? (And why don't the User Guides appear to document this?)

Thanks. That's just what I needed.

S'funny though, the "Device On (shows only when the device display is in the Off state)" White blink looks more Blue to me.

"Device On" blinks light blue, while "New message" is dark and blinks faster.

That's probably due to age. White LEDs are usually actually blue, but with a phosphor coating which shifts the colour spectrum to white (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-e...de#White_light). As they age, the phosphor coating deteriorates and they appear more blue.
