just curious... has anyone successfully replaced the n810 camera with something better? the stock one blows so bad that it feels like a real wasted opportunity, not even good enough for a mirror, LOL!

Have you opened up your tablet yet? i haven't, but i don't expect to be this to be a soldering job as straightforward as the internal wifi antenna mod previously demonstrated by someone on the forum. i have no clue as to the software issues. upgrading the plastic (?) lense might be a start?

I think that if it was practical to replace the camera on the N810 we would have heard about it before now.

possibly, but i haven't opened it up yet. people have amplified their wifi, powered hard drives and installed sd adapters; it's not talked about often, so i wasn't sure if a camera job was something that i missed.
