I was having issues with my n900 earlier saying memory was full but rootfs was only at 68% and mmcblk0p2 was mounted etc but out of interest I called Vodafone to see if they knew anything.

The phone works now (it sorted itself randomly as i left the office!!) however, VF said they have had a lot of reported issues like this and suggested that i dialed *#7370# on my handset. They said I'd lose all data, contacts, emails, texts and programs etc. but that I wouldn't lose my latest updates (which I didn't quite believe as 1-1 is showing in my apps list!)

Anyway, I wondered if anyone else had heard of this as VF say it is a Nokia thing, not VF only?!

yes, this is a nokia thing, more precisely a symbian thing. It is for reseting phone's software to factory settings. I know it from my old 7650 and used it several times on my symbian phones.

Btw it wont work on ur n900. People @VF do a great job lol

Interesting!! I also got given free mobile TV for a month from VF Live, but can't access it! VF have no idea with this phone as yet!! Ha Ha

voda chatting crap lol, that code only works on symbian s60 devices. it formats the C: drive and puts the s60 device back to factory state.

Do you Know some action for to reset the Nokia N900, I have a problem and I Flash it actually, but didn't work, I can't Make Calls, because I installed an applet called 3G/2G Applet Switch from Extras-Devel repository, I can receive calls and send and receive messages too, but I can't make calls, do You have an Idea? thankyou.

I had a similar problem with not being able to tx some networks and seems to be when setting your option in settings re the section in phone that you define your providers settings. I did a reset in the settings and seemed to fix this try it might work and you only lose your settings and no personal data.
