You could use the Photo app and set names of the people as tags or alternatively as the title for pictures and put the project in the description field.

Put them into your contacts, together with photo and details You dont't need 'an app for that', as the N900 is no dumbphone (SCNR)

I'm currently attending a business training programme together with 30 other people. We're having weekly workshops over 2 months.
My problem here is that I'm great at remembering faces but absolutely terrible at remembering names. Just to give you an example, at last week's session, I was sitting at a table with 3 other guys and can only remember the name of one of them (and I had to lookup his name on the attendance sheet in front of me several times before I could get his name into my head). That's quite bad but I've always been like that.
So I was looking at ways to use my N900 to help. I'm not at this stage looking for a dedicated application for this (although, this could be an idea for an app) but looking at using the N900's built-in functionalities and existing third-party apps to solve this problem.
All I'd be looking for right now would be to have a list of people's pictures together with their names and project they're working on. Simple as that (if one was to build an app for that, you could of course think of many more useful features to add but I'm looking for something I could use right now). I'd like it to be quick and easy. I first thought of using the N900's Contact app but the fact that it won't allow the creation of custom contact groups rules it out.
So I'm now looking for more imaginative ways to bend the N900 to this need. If you have any suggestions, they would be more than welcome. I'm not holding too much hope of course as these are quite specific requirements but I'd be interested to see if some people here had found a way to do this using nothing more than what's already there.
Cheers.
