Check out the QtHyperUI application in maemo-devel right now. So awesome! It doesn't do much right now except show the time, date (and incorrect cell phone carrier ) and a little movable icon window, which, when expanded, you can then press the phone icon and see that too.

VERY cool. Hope this is coming down the pipe as a standard.

You can download the programmes in the app manager (using the application names in the link).

Cute, but doesn't do much besides popping the menu down once, than going back and forth between the phone and dying when trying to come back to the first screen ... but super smooth though :-)

I like how smooth the performance is - graphics are a bit basic/simple though. Looks like they are trying to go for an HTCified phone - hope not.

i cant install it through app manager, missing lib of qt4-maemo5 (core and ui and so on)i

I have the same problem - won't install from app manager due to conflicting packages. Shame, as it piqued my interest somewhat earlier.

ok in the terminal it works; any idea why it cant be don through app manager? is it that verification?

There's a fast scrolling contact manager too complete with letters.

The weather app is actually working - you can add cities and it shows the right temperature with cute cardboard-like clouds and moon/sun
