This is pretty annoying indeed. It also happens every time you email someone new - the address gets added to the contacts list automatically with no apparent option to stop this. I'd much rather be asked with the options "yes, save this new contact", "no, don't save this" and "no, never ask me this again"

I just merged them and edited their names so they weren't so obviously out of place.. and then removed all the messenger contacts that I don't really communicate with anymore via my desktop messenger client.

This is really annoying and I'd much rather just have my normal contacts showing... is there a way to just show my normal contacts and then show my MSN contacts in a separate window or group or something?
