Seems Vodafone.de finally decided to support the N900:
http://www.vodafone.de/infofaxe/123.pdf (page 12).

But some details make me wonder:
  • Vodafone-MMS
  • Vodafone-VideoMMS4
  • Vodafone-VideoClips
  • Vodafone-MobileTV7
  • Vodafone-E-Mail
  • Vodafone-Load-A-Game mit Java™

Are they using the browser for those features? And did they really add a JVM? Or did same sales person mess up?
Someone already had a chance to check those features in a Vodafone Shop?

They probably just copied and pasted from the N97 blurb.

i have a n900 from vodafone uk

what you listed is a mistake on vodas behalf

they have given me mobile tv , voda sat nav , voda music and none can be used with the n900 yet but i dont care as the phone is unbranded :-) which i much prefer over vodafone services :-)

as pete said they probably just copied it from the n97 or n97 mini blurb :-)

maybe vodafone.de are different but id think it was the same and they have made a mistake and persumed it would work with them features :-)

vodafone uk have the nokia 5230 as having wifi yet nokia clearly state it doesnt so mistakes are made :-)

Hmmm, highly theoretical. Not sure if the N900 will handle RTSP streaming, but even if it does, the MobileTV portal is such a krufty mess that you can't seem to even reach it using the browser. Even if you fake its UA header to that of a reasonably recent phone, you will end up being redirected to what amounts to a WAP page, which microB will not be able to handle and presents a download dialog instead.

And without the MobileTV portal, no MobileTV, since the SDP files needed for playback are dynamically generated by the portal (obviously to avoid circumvention of the at least partially needed subscriptions).

I just looked into it briefly and gave up after deciding my time was too precious to debugging Voda's problems without them paying me for it. So possibly I overlooked something, but it's not very likely.

Regards,
Chris.

Integrierter Speicher mit bis zu 1 GB
So the Java stuff takes up 31 GB?

Look at the technical data of the device ... and compare it with N97.

N97: "Integrierter Speicher mit bis zu 32 GB"
N900: "Integrierter Speicher mit bis zu 1 GB"

"QWERTS-Tastatur" => nice
My N900 has a QWERTZ

There are a lot of mistakes in this sheet. I think the statement about the JAVA games is a mistake, too. I guess it was written by somebody who has little technical skills

Where did you find this doc?
I can't find the N900 in the webshop.

Hi everybody,

I dunno if this is the right thread to post this question, but I recently got my unbranded N900 and bought a sim card from Vodafone, I also bought a flat rate internet package.
However I cant manage to connected to the internet! it always says "internet connection failed"
I asked cutsomer service and told me that vodafone.de doesnt support the phone.
Can anybody provide some help here?
Thanks!
