Hi,
1. I use Diablo on N800,
2. I have gprs and edge on my simple moble phone.
3. How to connect the phone to the N800 via usb cable of the phone, so I can surf the net, so the phone becomes the modem?

Thanks
Tori

I may be wrong but I don't think it's possible (unless your phone can do usb networking, which I doubt).

It is easier to use bluetooth, if your phone supports it. Otherwise you need to enable host mode (look for details on this forum) and usbserial driver. See here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=14877 . The setup then is like any other Linux system, you can find many explanations of using a phone as a USB modem.

Toda Matan,
I've already installed in the past one of the usb application, but I've never used it, can it make any cconflict?
Since I have no knowledge in linux programing, do you recommed that I just install the pl2303.ko and usbserial.ko?
I use a simple nokia mobile phone that has no blue tooth, but I thought of connecting it to the N800 with one of those pku cables.
I've also read the wiki page about usb host mode http://wiki.maemo.org/USB_host_mode
I would like to hear you opinion
Thank you

Thankyou Matan,
But... finally "nishbarti", I've bought here a second hand nokia 6300 for 20€, so I can easily connect to the O2 network,
much easier, It functions great as a modem.
