I am trying to add some ogg files to my Music directory, but they are not being picked up by the indexer. If I add a new mp3 it is immediately recognized (well almost immediately, but you know what I mean). I have Ogg Support 1.0.5 installed and when I look at the files in the File Manager the Song Title and Author are shown correctly. If I click on any of the ogg files the Media Player plays it just fine and even shows me the Album Name. However, when I close the player, it is not shown in the list of available songs. What is the deal here?

Oh, and by the way, I have tried the tracker-processes -r trick. It did not change anything.

I think you need the newer version of Ogg Support (1.0.6-rc1) to get this working.

Is that in testing or in devel?

Yes!!! You were so right. I installed it from devel and it cured the problem. (Warning to newbies: It can be very dangerous to install things from Devel. I only install things from there when I know that they are optified and recommended by others.)

Thanks a lot!
