Sorry guys if this is not the correct forum, please move around if needed.
Don't know if someone noticed that there is a clone of Hildon Desktop in http://maemo.gitorious.org under the name of ibinde-hildon-desktop, created by Moises Martinez. I noticed that changes in it are quite extensive including no dependencies on hildon, resolution independent and resizability of desktop widgets. Then after quick search revealed several videos that are quite intriguing:
