welcome to the forums. I know there is several threads and probably a brainstorm or two on your security app questions. Search around for some of the keywords you already used... theft, loss etc. Id give examples but it's a tad cumbersome on an N810..
enjoy your stay.

I'm reading posts since long time before to decide purchase this device.
I live in Brazil and here Nokia passed so far away with N900... But I love globalization and love america, which enabled me to buy this EXCELLENT device. I use Linux for many years and I just DON'T BELIVE about the INFINITY POSSIBILITES that this device can offer for anyone with a minimum knowledge in Linux.
Each day I discovery many and many features that can be possible... I'm really very happy!
But, thinking in security way... Anyone have good ideas about how to implement security inside N900? There are good apps related with security for Windows Mobile like Remote Tracker - http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net.
There are some similar projects? I'm referring to loss, theft... I know that EVERYTHING is possible with this device, but someone have introduced similar projects to help find N900, protect information inside device, prevent irregular soft-resets/hard-resets, etc.?
I know that projects based on this principles will arise soon, just think about it!
Eternal life for MAEMO!!! ;-D
