I want to run my music from the SD card - does this slow down access ?
Also can I create playlists outside of the N900 - ie on my PC which the phone will then recognise? Creating playlists on the media player is awful at the moment.

And for some reason one of the albums I've added shows only one song. The remainder seem to not be recognised by the album. Any ideaS?

thanks

I use Media Monkey to manage the transfer of files to my N900 card. That way it embeds the album art and the rest of the MP3 tags. Seems to work well.

Not yet tried adding playlists but I supect it would work.

you CAN make a playlist on PC and open them in n900!!!
just put your songs in winamp, and make a playlist, and save it anywhere on your pc... but then when you copy your mp3 files on n900, make shure that .m3u files be in the same folder as your .mp3-s and thats about it (try do avoid subfolders )

I'll second this - it doesn't seem to like the way windows refernces sub folders. I think it's something as simple as the slash being in the wrong direction but haven't been able to confirm this yet.

hmmmm... i understand... but anyhow: i think that this is the simplyest way to make playlist files, and play them directly on n900: just put ALL songs in one folder, and in same, put playlist files... and in media player, just open them.... that would be the easyest way! but then again, there would be a NICE option in new update to make a media player play music FROM FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and make a f@#$ equalizer)
