I have to take the charger IN and OUT at least 3-4 times before it starts charging. Once it picks up the charge, it is charged pretty quick---but I am concerned if the USB port is broken...

I am not sure if this is a hardware issue or something that is related to the software.

Has anyone else seen similar issues?

Thanks

There is a similar issue reported to early n900 devices with faulty USB connectors coming loose in the phone. Have a search on here I read one earlier but I forget which thread it was.

I have discovered I have the same problem. The USB port is tilted slightly to one side if you look inside the phone.

These links describe the warraty situation.

Yes it should be but it looks like I am going to have to fight. Mobilephonesdirect gave the instant quote its your fault.

This really is something Nokia needs to get sorted.

If anyone in nokia is reading this and can help me with advice on how to handle this please please PM me.

My phone was only 6 days old when this happened.
