slotti: You know that what you call "Deleting" is in fact "Set the DELETED flag" only, and that "Expunging" is something else? I don't see a bug with the IMAP behaviour at all, because that is how IMAP exactly works.

Sorry if this has been covered, I did do a search. Normally the e-mail client works OK for me (2 business accounts and a Gmail account all via imap) but I keep finding that e-mails I have deleted off the N900 still arrive in my laptop inbox when I later log in.
This morning I had 10 e-mail in one of my business accounts and deleted all of them (overnight spam and dross) then I did a folder properties search and although the main screen said it was empty, the properties said there were 10 messages in the folder. When I logged on to my laptop 30 mins later and fired up Outlook, lo and behold, some of my deleted messages arrive.
Is this a known issue or am I on my own?
