Yep. I remember how some/many were saying Nokia is too late and that resistive screen phones would never sell well!

Nokia becoming the largest TS seller is inevitable with their rollout of capacitives (I hope they keep making great resistives too like the one on the N900), SF^3, SF^4 and Maemo6.

Dito i heard that too about Nokia's resistive screen, i quite like it since i can use it with my gloves in the cold

I do hope apple loose alot of share, i think people have gone for iphones in the past as there has been no real choice, and we have seen now that companies are fighting back with the N900 and others.

But none have a unified appstore like Apple, so we have a long way to go to beat Apple !!

Some might think the unified app store is a drawback...

I rather prefer an 'apt' store

If the leaked N8 (S^3, N87 12MP) and N98 (S60v5, polished N97) are real, then Apple doesn't stand a chance. While high-end phones don't account for a significant share, they are the ones that give a company good reputation - which is what Nokia needs right now badly (in the Symbian high-end segment, which isn't the one that accounts for the increase).

The N900 could sell more only if advertising, support and of course supply would be there. Obviously Nokia believes that the S60v5 UI is more "casual-friendly" than Maemo 5's counterpart.

Nokia has plans (and patent) for a hybrid resistive/capacitive screen.
