Hello,

I am fairly new to the phone, but I cannot figure out how to disable the screen alerts when I get new emails. I know I can control the device vibration (turn it off using the profile), but how can I disable the yellow email pop up when I get new email?

Ideally, I would want to disable the vibration and alert just for emails, and keep them for all other system events.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

no idea on the above, but why do all of your posts have exclamation marks? just checked....

That sign is universal for "Warning" - and you are asking questions? - not really the same as a warning......

You bring up good points, thanks.

If anyone can assist with any insight on the email alert situation please feel free to post.

In email main view open menu > Settings > untick Incoming notifications.

I do not have it either.
Maybe it's not available with exchange sync.

Not on mine, either - and that's without running exchange sync...

I just opted to manually update emails once away from work, and switch back to intervals once back at the desk.

I keep several (more than 5 email accts) on this and do get annoyed to see it was spam. I try to remember the distinct sounds IMs, sms, missed calls as the important ones to pick up when I am out and about. Emails alerts can definitely wait...

the only setting besides disabling email auto updates is the notification light, now only if it added notification (x) sound off on individual alerts be nice.

I've seen some petty complaints on internet forums, but that just takes the biscuit!

BTW an exclamation mark is just that - to turn a statement into an exclamation for extra emphasis. It has nothing to do with warnings unless it's used on a sign. So your "complaint" lecturing others on writing styles was incorrect anyway :P
