1. Just Wifi. I tested this at school. 3G access is still available
2. I cannot connect to all wifi networks.
3. I do not see a place for the Power Saving Mode in my internet connections
4. I have 0 extra software installed. I still get the error after reflashing.

1. Turn on phone
2. Touch the time
3. Touch internet connection
4. The menu pops up alerting me that the phone is trying to find a connection, but no connection found.
Here is what is going on in the background:
wl1251: WARNING WLAN not ready
wl1251: Error unsupported chip id 0x0
However, this message does not always in dmesg. If I reboot the phone and immediately run the gainroot program in the terminal, I can see that the WLAN module does get initialized correctly. It is only after attempting to connect to a wireless access point does the problem occur and my phone locks up. I can also make the menu appear successfully by doing the following:
1. Open X-term
2. # sudo gainroot
3. # modprobe -v -r wl12xx
4. Attempting to locate an Wireless AP
The above results in the phone successfully pulling up the correct hildon menu. I also observed that after unloading the module, the phone seems a lot snappier. So in essence I have 3 questions:
1. Would flashing the device help?
2. Has anyone successfully recovered from this error?
3. If not, would it be possible to replace the Wlan chipset.
This is a an ungodly good phone if you have the right uses for it. I just want to be able to use WiFi at school. I have also read that the bluetooth and wifi antenna are similar and that if bluetooth connectivity works, then a reflash should suffice. Can someone confirm this?
