Hello boys and girls, men and women of MAEMO.org

I am going to start here, i had a bit of snooping around for the best camera phones out in the wild and i've found one that amazed me with it's camera quality. The device is Samsung w880. It make my jaw dropped while reading what it's camera can do and how in god's name did they do it.

They basically stuck a CPU and RAM and other stuff into ine of their 12mp camera. And yet it look very sexy. Well done on the design.

The phone packed with AMOLED and has 4Gb internal and support microSD upto 32Gb. But i can't seem to find any information related to it's CPU and hardware other than camera and T-DMB TV reciever..etc.

The device do a very clear, sharp and very smooth 720p HD video capture and the quality is similar to what you get from other 12mp HD camera out there.

It make me think! If i can push that camera into my N900 then my device would be the king!

Camera is good but the software OS is may be SAMSUNG Proprietory. Which kind of sux to see such wonderful device falling into a deep hole. Would be nice to hack it and run Meego or even Android.

Enough said of the OS, let's talk about the battery. Seriously with ZEON flash and super wopper 12mpx camera and 720p HD and the battery is only 1100mAh?

This going to hurt and lead to epic failure.

The CPU on the other hand has to be something very powerful, at least a Snapdragon and the RAM has to be at least 256mb to do that HD video recording.

I still love my N900 even the camera functionality on it sux dirt. quality is okay though

The front looks nice. The rest looks ugly.

sorry, large pixel counts with small sensor(as in point-and-shoot) do not perform well for image quality

i think the sensor is an actual full camera sensor from one of samsung camera. for example the quality of sony satio picture really drowning my N900 with distant capture. But SATIO only use a small sensor and this one use full sensor
