I can't get the FM transmitter to work. I tried it first in my car and then at home with my stereo. Setting the frequency on the N900 was no problem, and I put the check in the box under "transmitter" ( I think that is what it is called... Ihave a N900 in German) But neither of the two radios received the signal when I played music from my media player. Who can help ???

1. go to your settings and click on the transmitter.
2. set a frequency which isn't used by a radio station (you just here noise)
3. check the box
4. start the player
5. adjust the frequency of your radio

It's probably actually working. For legal reasons, the transmitted signal is pretty weak and may not work well in some situations. For example, it works perfectly in my truck or car, but kinda poorly on my home stereo. I have to set the N900 right near the antenna there.

Try installing 'fm-boost'. It should help.
