Is there a way to create a shortcut to a specific document on the N900? The way you can for contacts. I have several Word and PDF documents I need to access frequently through the day, and I have to open them through the File Manager (and go through the submenus) or through the PDF reader/Docs to Go (an again, go through the submenus). There's no way to create a shortcut of the individual document on the desktop from what I can tell. Is there a way?

For pdf, open your browser, write "file:///" in the url bar and you are in your filesystem. Navigate where your pdf file is, then long tap on it and save it in bookmarks. Now you are able to put the bookmark on the desktop.
Might work for doc files too but I haven't tried yet.

It should work for docs too, as long as it works when you click from inside the normal filemanager.

I wrote this tip a couple of days ago.

Got it. Tried w/ PDF & it worked. Thanks!

Any way to resize desktop icons? That would be awesome.

Any way to add additional desktops? That would be an awesome app or update.
