I flashed my UK phone to the latest global firmware.
At the same time I put in a new SIM card from my network provider (Orange). I.e. they disconnected the old one and established new one with the same number and contract.
After this, my phone doesn't seem to want to connect to 3G. GSM/2G is fine, but when I try to put it into 3G (using the 2G/3G selection app)...nothing happens. I lose the network status bar at the top completely, with simply empty space between the time and the battery symbol.
It was working before the flash/SIM change, so its not the network coverage, or my provider. I tried calling Orange and they say they can't offer technical support for the phone as it is not in their system, so I don't know where else to turn.
If anyone has any ideas, I would be much obliged and will offer many thanks!
EDIT:
Ok Here is some very important info:
I inserted my friend's SIM card and I could connect to 3G. I know its probably obvious to everyone what the issue is, but I would like to double check. Can anyone be SO kind as to explain in layman's terms what this means and what I can do about it?
Thanks SOOOOO much! <3
