I'm trying to consolidate knowledge of what Bluetooth phones have been demonstrated to work as a modem when paired with a 770/N800.

Please post your successful experience on this thread.

Please include your:

Service Provider (T-Mobile, Cingular, Sprint, etc)
Phone brand and model
works on 770 or 800 or both
Phone plan (whether it be Voice, Data, Internet....please be specific)

It would be nice if you could also post the specific configuration you have set up on your Nokia 770/N800 connection manager.

Thanks,
Neil

Service Provider: O2 UK
Phone brand and model: Sony Ericsson W950i
Works on 770: Yes but needs updated sdp-query app (see bug #865 for details and download) due to flaws in the Symbian BT stack - not included in 3.2006.49-2 firmware
Works on N800: Yes, works fine out of the box (2.2006.51-6 f/w)
Phone plan: Voice/Data GSM/GPRS

Config - standard wizard configuration, no special tweaks.

Service Provider: Cingular GSM
Phone brand and model: Motorola ROKR E2
Does NOT dialup over BT DUN (although pairs fine and phone works as BT modem under XP just fine)

Yet another attempt to use the forum for something which forums really aren't good for, and reproduce something which already exists:

http://maemo.org/maemowiki/BluetoothDUN

How about putting this otherwise laudable effort into that already larger and more comprehensive database?

Agreed, although the Wiki now needs a N800 specific page, and possibly sections for different network providers too as certain network providers seem intent on crippling perfectly good phones for no apparent reason.
