Hi all , i was hoping someone could shed any light on my little issue :

I have t-mobile 3g with my n900 , not sure if this is of relevance but you know it may be , when switching between my 3g connection and my home wi-fi the last 2 days my n900 "lags" and the whole device seems to slow down, and more often than not the wi-fi tries to connect for about 1 minute then asks me for the password, which it has not done since i set it up , at all ..

I have a standard netgear dsl router which has been fine for 2 years , i have upgraded the firmware but not since n900 , and it has only been doing this for 2 days , the thing that makes me think it is the n900 is the whole device lag thing when trying to swap , makes me think the n900 is "struggling" with something ??

Any advice, or people that have had the same / similar ?

Thanks in advance guys

James

I had a similar issue and drove me nuts trying to solve it. I suspect there is some cached info for the connection not getting cleared out. I managed to solve the problem in the end by deleting the connection definition, using another wireless connection successfully then recreating the connection to my router.

Not entirely sure why it worked but seemed to work for at least one other N900 owner with similar problems. Best of luck!!

Another tip.
If the wifi connection to your router gives you slow or laggy internet on your n900 you solve this by going to internet connections via settings on the n900.
Edit the connection causing the problems and turn off power saving which is in advanced then other.
Worked a treat for me....
