Hi there,

I just got my phone this week and I have been playing around with it ever since.. Anyways , can u guys please help telling me which are the best apps out there which i should have (safe enough, optimised)on the phone. Can you also state next to the name what the app actaully does.

I'm looking for Utility apps, games, widgets, techy apps, just basically any apps which are there on your phone which you think are nice, important and fun and offcourse runs well.

Thank you

Some applets/widgets which I use a lot:
Simple Brightness Applet
3G/2G Applet
Cellular Modem Control Buttons
cpumem-applet
fm-boost
Wifi Switcher
Flashlight

Some apps I like a lot:
FM radio
fMMS (+fAPN)
Conky
WifEye
BatteryGraph
AlmostTI calculator

And some games I play more than "sometimes":
Angry Birds (from Ovi though, but its a gotta mention here)
Gweled
...hmm that list wasn't very long

Themes:
Marina
Matrix

And some random stuff that isn't "visible", but modify N900/enable something significant:
Catorise
AdBlock Plus
Extra Decoders Support
rootsh
shortcutd

Details for almost all of them can be found via Downloads, so not explaining all of them.

Hey thanks alot guys. Is there an applet which shows for how long the battery is gonna last or how much time is left for the battery to charge fully.
Another thing is there any app that can disable my internet connection(3g / wifi) when its not in use, because i tend to forget to do it manually.

Thank you

Thank you very much for your recommendations. I really love more every day the N900. And I think it is a pitty that it has been forgotten by some companies like spotify or others that don't do software for this device. I recently got a Motorola Milestone with Android 2.1, and I still really like very much N900 than Milestone. For example, N900 has a very, VERY useful screen that protects a little from direct sunlight, and also has the light detector, making automatically brighter in some cases. It really has many things that make it more user friendly than others, and most of the things for free!

I am really proud of the purchase of my N900. The only thing left to do for me is just make my own programs. By the way, if any developer reads this, what is the actual recommended way? Installing exbox on a ubuntu image, or directly go to the Nokia new SDK?

Thank you all.
