I am trying to do the same on the N950, but it complains that no qt versions are configured. What did you do to be able to compile?

You could go even slower and forward X over SSH (if Maemo version supports it) so that you could get a decent sized window.

I find installing QtCreator inside scratchbox and using the 'Desktop' target to work great for me.
I can write in QtCreator and test using the emulator in Xephyr

I have to admit that it may bee too slow for every day use.
And screen resolution is too low for easy use.
I just wanted you to know that this is possible.
PS. I installed Qt creator from squeeze repository, not from lenny.
