Bluetooth DUN is what you're looking for. It should be availiable from Extra repository.

On the N900 it shouldn't...

First, make sure BT on the N900 is on and "visible".

Next, pair your laptop to the N900.

Your laptop should now show BT DUN is a service provided by your N900.

Now, set up an internet connection from your laptop.

If the laptop asks for a phone number and user name, try leaving it blank. It may ask what type of connection and in that case select "GPRS". If it asks for an Access Point Name use the one shown in the original Internet connections set-up on the N900.

You have to configure the Blue Tooth Dial Up Networking settings on your laptop. And the dial up string (to enable 3G access), phone number, user name, and password are Dependant on your mobile carrier and phone's data plan.

What carrier are you on for mobile data on your N900?
