Well this is a wish for a Nitro RC car with an onboard camera controlled through N900 via PS 3 controller connected via Bluetooth. The same technology used by iphone quadrocopter. Both connected via same wifi of 3G and with video steaming from the car to N900.
imagine racing with other guys in the town with there own custom made RC cars.

Any other suggetions?

Although it's not exactly what you may be looking for, one of the entries in the PUSH N900 MOD IN THE USA competition might give you some more ideas.

The team 'Pit Crew' are pitting (no pun intended, honest) an N900 controlled slot car vs. a human competitor. You can check out their progress so far here: http://blogs.nokia.com/pushn900/usa/category/pit-crew/

Their project will be completed by the end of this weekend as come Monday 22nd March all three of the teams of finalists will be at CTIA in Las Vegas presenting their hacks to a panel of judges in a bid to win the $10k 1st prize.

bluetooth probably wouldn't have enough range - you'd need to go for wifi

I'd agree. The KAPingWithN900 team had to use Wifi for their Kite Aerial Photography rig in their PUSH N900 project because Bluetooth didn't have the range needed.
