my biggest complaint about the n900 was the lack of editing software. Openoffice will suit my needs. it takes about 30 seconds for it to boot up but once it gets going its awesome. i love my n900.

How did you install OpenOffice on your N900? A quick search on these forums didn't reveal any obvious methods

follow the steps in that guide. if you have a fast internet connection this process should take no longer than 45 minutes.

As cool as it is to be able to run a full version of open office on my n900 i think the "perfect" solution would be a build of open office made specifically for the Maemo OS with a finger friendly interface. Just my 2 cents

i agree with ur accessment but for now this is my only option.

the program takes awhile to get going and u will need the stylus but its workable.

until a mobile office suite is relased open source will do. and its not that bad on the n900.

I use Google Docs occasioally. Is it quicker than Google Docs? Or better in another way?
