I have to say I am rather disappointed with the TV-Out feature on the N900. I wanted to use it to show photos to my family and I tried it on two TVs but the color quality was so bad and so different from that on the phone!

Is that common or am I missing something? Do we have a work around?

My TV-Out quality is awesome, but I've had a similar problem. I've managed to obtain the maximum quality modifying the TV color and quality settings from the TV settings menu. Give it a try.

My N95 was awesome, the same as phone (probably even better) but the N900 has extremly bad colors.. Also whe I play videos while connected to TV they lag and freeze etc..
For me - no more connecting to TV, it just doesnt make sense..

Have you adjusted it to meet you TV standards; i.e: PAL or NTSC?

I tried to change to NTSC (even though I have a PAL system) but then it would not show movies at all (but the desktop was visible), also no improvment in quality. So change back to PAL.
Dont know about any other adjustments..
