Hey all, forgive me if this link has already posted, but I thought it was worth sharing.

Techradar has compiled a list of today's 15 best mobiles and the Nokia N900 appears on it.

http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-...5440?artc_pg=1

And for the record, no, the iPhone is not number 1.

if that is the case seems like i shudve gone for the HTC desire. Dunno why n900 didnt get a better spot iphone still came in 2nd, that sucks!
Majority of the handsets that got good rating were htc.
Im guessing these reviewers dont know jack about much and they just make anything look good they favour.

It has more phone functionality than my previous (non-smart) phone, so for me it certainly is a phone, even though I'm using most of the time its smarter functions. I really don't understand this constant moaning on the forums here.

Well it says "15 best mobile phones", not "15 best smartphones", so I don't know why the 6700 shouldn't appear there. I mean a smartphone isn't always the best function to go. If I take a look on people I know, most of them rather would like a basic phone without all that connectivity thing. They just want to do phone calls and do some text messaging, even mobile mail or some browsing is too much for most of them.

In addition to that, I am not really into calling the N900 a classic phone. As already stated by others, I also refer to this device as an "Internettablet with phone functions" and I think this discribes it the best.
The UI alone somewhat disqualifies the N900 as a regular smartphone, since you basicly need two hands to use it comfortable. I mean even the older Communicators could be used one-handed for basic functions and all the other Windows Mobile phones I used were also designed for one handed use. This is simply not possible ATM on the N900.
