I have submitted a critical bug in N900 file manager. When moving files, carefully check if there are files of the same names in the destination. The file manager will ask you if you want to overwrite, but if you choose No, the file is deleted instead of moved!

My apologies, I did search before submitting the bug, but did not find that one. The good news is that the coming (hopefully soon) PR 1.2 will fix this.

I'm horrified this is a bug!

Have Nokia done any serious testing on this platform?

Exactly my thinking. Bugs like this make maemo OS look really immature.

I lost a Image because of this Bug. And we reported it 5 month ago...

The same happened to me this weekend. The bugfix workflow should really have faster turnarounds.

This brainstorm/discussion is relevant to bugs like this being delayed:

Undelayed bugfix releases for Nokia (open source) packages.
