I've been desperately trying to find how to get function keys with Nokia SU-8W bluetooth keyboard. The manual says nothing about inputting F-keys and I've tried to press prectically all possible Shift/Fn/Ctrl/Alt/AltGr combinations, I think.

I want to activate editing a cell in Gnumeric and F2 might hopefully help with that.

I also tried, but cannot find a way to use the F-keys . This is because the Fn key activates the numeric keys and you cannot press Fn and a numeric key at the same time.

anyone have a solution?

As a side question... do you have any problems with the Nokia BT Keyboard inserting extra keys when you type? (ie when I type "hello" it will input "hellllooo")

I am currently using the ThinkOutside Stowaway BT Keyboard and having this issue. I am thinking about eBaying it and getting the Nokia one instead.

I don't have a solution I'm afraid, but it sounds like a good reason to get a 5-row keyboard like the Sierra, which has numeric keys that can be used with Fn. I haven't installed gnumeric, so I can't say whether F2 works as Magi suggests.

However, I can use F6 to toggle full-screen on and off, F7 to zoom in, F8 to zoom out, F4 for an application's main menu and F3 for the application launcher menu. F9 brings up the window switcher and F12 functions as the power/off button.

There are a few applications (xterm and Notes are the ones that come to mind) where the Fn key brings up a pop-up menu. In xterm, the pop-up menu prevents the function key from being invoked, which is a minor nuisance.
