apt-get install sysklogd
/etc/init.d/sysklogd start
/etc/init.d/sysklogd stop
cp /var/log/syslog /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/
note that when you don't need syslog, it's best to remove it and rm /var/log/syslog*. Syslog has some log file rotation, but with time it can fill the root filesystem completely. When that's done by a root process, it can become so full that the device fails to boot.
rm /var/log/syslog rm /var/log/syslog*

The Following User Says Thank You to bunanson For This Useful Post: | ||
I would like to see what is happening behind the scenes when my n800 running diablo connects to my verizon phone. The connection works wonderfully. I'd just like to be able to see the details spit out in the console.
Can anyone help me do this?
Thanks!
