is it possible to setup typing that way, so i dont need to press blue shift to type symbols. i wold like it that way the n97 has. you only need to hold button to type symbol

I would love to help you but as far as I know there is no way to do that on this phone. Maybe someone else knows more than I do.

Although you can push the blue shift key once and it locks symbol mode for the next key press. Alternatively if you have lots of symbols to enter you can either hold down the blue shift key continuously or you can tap the blue shift key twice to lock it onto symbol mode.

You can also get additional symbols that are not on the keyboard layout by pushing the blue shift key and then the ctrl key above. The additional symbols will then pop up on screen.

i know for those methods... but as a former n97 user i got used to that kinda system... so i was hoping it was possible on n900 too...
