I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "stopped working". Are you referring to it not being able to display nothing at all ever? What have you tried exactly?

I know I have experienced some difficulties of my own as well. Sometimes the cables are fully plugged in and all, but nothing would display on the television... After a few attemps of unplugging and replugging it would ramdomly work. I would say normally, it works on the first shot about 95% of the times. But this only started happening maybe about 2-3 weeks ago, before that, it worked 100% all the times. Although so far, I have been only having trouble on 1 particular television, so I am more tending to believe there is a power on the connectors of my television itself rather than on my N900... If that can help you in any case :S

I have a problem where my tv cable won't work (the phone won't recognize the video cable and send video signal) if my phone is charging. If I unplug my phone from the charger, and connect my phone to the tv, it will start working (I can then put the charge cable back in).

Not sure if this is what's going on with you, but it definitely took me awhile to figure out what was up with my phone.

Thanks foxbarrington!
That was it - the charger needs to be plugged in after the video cable ...
