When I open the backups application, I get the message (translated from Danish): "memory card not available", all though I have no memory card installed (and never did) and in any case the backups directory is on the internal memory (?). All the buttons are grayed out and are unclickabe. It also lists "content:" but with nothing after. I checked the backups directory, nothing seems wrong with it.

Any idea what is causing this?

Same thing for me, doesn't work if the phone is set on Finnish. But (and this is a big but) it works in English. A bit annoying and time-consuming feature but at least I can do a backup...

Why is backup possible only to external card? I swear I remember going to the backup app, and making a backup, before it started saying this.

Campboot, I will try to switch to English then. Though that seems weird.. only backup for English-speaking people? Racist discrimination! :P (J/K)

This isn't true, I keep all my backups on the built-in 32gb memory.

Yeah. Weird. Could it be that a package or an application is sort of blocking the backup utility? I mean the firmware is the same as in March (as far as I can remember, the backup utility worked back then, even in Finnish). Or could it be that the 27 GB partition shouldn't be too full when starting to back up the phone? Don't know.

This may not be the same thing, but I had a similar problem about a month ago - my backup stopped working after several weeks of working fine. Worse, I couldn't do a backup through PC Suite either - the PC Suite backup said that it couldn't find my phone (even though the PC Suite seemed to be able to). The phone also felt really sluggish. Ultimately, I just reflashed the root file system and everything went back to working correctly, though that means I never quite figured out what went wrong. I had way overdone it in terms of packages - I've been more conservative with which ones I install this time around, leaving plenty of space in /, and haven't had any problems.

I switched to English, now it works fine. This must be a bug relating to non-English languages.

It's still in English, but after I actually made a backup, it's now broken again. The exact same thing, it says no memory card is available. What's up with this?
