Reading through some of the threads here on TMO gives me the feeling that I must do something wrong. So many people seem to have issues, however I use my N900 on a daily business and am quite satisfied. Is the N900 perfect? - No. Is it a great computer and phone? - You bet.

These are my non-issues:

Hardware:
1.The hardware is sturdy and robust. Holding the N900 provides a feeling of substance, not flimsy like other phones
2.The high resolution screen is very sharp with good colors. The screen is readable outside in the sun.
3.The resistive screen is very precise, it is enjoyable to use the stylus and click on links in webpages where on other devices I have to zoom first to be able to click.
4.The keyboard – although small – is very usable. Buttons are formed very well, and have a great pressure point.
5.My Micro USB connector is solid and accepts connections without delay or problems

Interface / Operating System
1.The N900 comes very usable out of the box. However, the big advantage is its flexibility to adapt the device to my liking.
2.4 flexible home screens allow direct access to the features most important to me. For instance, I do have one home screen dedicated to communication functions (phone, conversations, contacts, emails, friend status, direct access to most dialed friends).
3.True multitasking – no problem with surfing the web while listening to music and updating email. Screen that shows running applications is superbly designed!
4.I use the device almost only in landscape mode (got used to it from my N800 days). However, I do have the flexibility to use phone and browser in portrait if I wish to.
5.Connections to available WiFi networks can be done easily and fast

Phone:
1.Reception on T-mobile is up to Nokia standard, meaning reception is better than the competition.
2.Call quality is very good.
3.It is easy to use cellular, as well as SIP (Gizmo) or Skype. Actually, using Gizmo or Skype via WiFi is great and very well integrated with the rest of the system.

Maps / Navigation:
1.Sygic works nice (you have to pay extra for it unlike Ovi maps on Symbian), good voice supported turn by turn navigation.
2.AGPS connects fast, GPS without network support connects usually in less than 90 seconds, which is better than other devices I tried.
3.There are free alternatives to Ovi Maps and Sygic available, however I stopped using these.

Media Player:
1.Basic Media Player works without bells and whistles. Plays music with good sound quality, Videos in stunning quality. Artwork works for me, Title and Artist are displayed correctly.

Connectivity:
1.Very robust WiFi connections.
2.USB connectivity with Linux and Windows PCs work fine, easy file transfer in mass storage mode
3.Bluetooth works actually very well. I use a good quality bluetooth head set and enjoy listening to music on my device.

Email:
1.I was able to set up many email accounts using different services.
2.Nokia messaging works for me very well, my 2 main email accounts are set up via Nokia Messaging and work reliibly
3.Gmail is set up easily and works reliably.
4.Yahoo is set up easily and works okay.

Browser:
1.MicroB works very well, to the point that I avoid sites that serve up their stupid mobile versions instead the full fledged website (Gizmodo comes to mind)
2.Firefox browser is a nice alternative, but still not fast enough for me. I stick with MicroB

Apps:
1.Twitter – I user MicroB
2.Facebook – I use MicroB
3.Linked in – I use MicroB
4.Youtube – MicroB
5.Games: Not many, but Angry Birds is nice. I am not big into games...
6.Many other apps – I use google search to find what I need. You will be surprised how few apps you really need when having a powerful browser and the whole internet available!

Camera
1.Right, N900 does not replace my expensive SLR, but I have the N900 always with me and the picture quality is very good!
2.Recording videos is a simple task and the result is very good.

Okay, I need to stop for now, but I am sure my list is not complete yet. Anyone else wants to add to the list?

I share the same experience when it comes to the USB port, but I certainly wouldn't be putting it under the "non-issue" category. Another port reported broken today.

I agree with all your other points. It's a great device & personally have not experienced any major issues with it. In particular I have found 3G reception/speeds to be a big improvement compared with my old Nokia N95.

To my surprise the WiFi connection is better than my highly rated netbook.

I can output my tunes wirelessly with no extra doo-dads on bluetooth or FM transmitter.

I can output audio and/or video with the supplied connector and will connect to just about any TV or Stereo you'll encounter in my international travels! I can't do that with my fancy netbook either, no composite output.

These are among the key features integrated in the N900 that put this little wonder in a class of it's own and when I travel it is all I need to keep me entertained and in touch!

Anyone want to buy my awesome notebook!

I largely agree with the OP here - except that I too have intermittent USB issues which sometimes require a reconnection and, occasionally, a reboot to resolve.

The large number of software bugs do hinder my use of some of the official (closed source) applications. It's frustrating that most or all of them were fixed 3 months ago without public release.

Calendar:
1. Basic Calendar lets me view my appointments and those of my family
2. Using Nuevasync (free) I was able to combine 6 different google calendars (one for each of my family members plus business calendar for my wife and me) on my device. Proviodes a comprehensive view and all necessarey details to see what's going on, while each family member can manage their own google calendar.

Flashlight:
1. Maybe this sounds silly for some, but the (free) flashlight application turns on the flash LEDs, which comes in really handy for me. The regular flashlight always disappear when they are needed, or run out of power, but my N900 is always in my pocket, ready to serve.
