Just in case anyone was interested here's a couple of posts about the BH-505.

POST 1

One giving general overview and what could be described as a review (though not really as more of a reasons why I love the BH-505. I don't love all Nokia accessories, this one just happened to be very good)

POST 2#

And the second posts just demoes the N900 working with the BH-505 as I had some emails about the first video.

All buttons do work. Works in video too. Call button can accept/end calls but cannot initiate calls/voice dial as N900 lacks this function (would work on other phones with this feature.

Pairing v. easy. Just find it, pair. DONE.

It's a very, very nice headset. My favourite out of all Nokia's headset accessories, even more so than the much more expensive BH-905. Super comfy, extremely secure, great sound quality, awesome sound isolation, fab battery life, very discrete (you can't tell I'm wearing one, though that's cos my hair is kinda longish for a guy) and controls are very easily accessible (not always with other types of headsets)

its pretty good, the controls are great, battery is more than decent. downside ist that you cant adjust the fitting, whilst it sits secure in place, it wobbles when runnig, which is slightly annoying, also volume could go higher...otherwise its decent and looks sexy.

That was an amazingly good review,
particularly the bits where the 905 was brought into comparison.

I have been waiting for something like this for several months now,
just missed seeing it until now.

Well done indeed.

I read that it goes haywire after you go out jogging and sweat on it (it's supposed to be sweat resistant), i got a BH-201 that i've even wore under rain without even loosing connection, much less actually failing, did Nokia improve the liquid resistance of the BH-505 after those complaints?

Btw, you know those bike helmets, those made of styrofoam covered in plastic with aerodynamic shapes and ventilation holes, can the BH-505 be worn while using those helmets without the back part being under the helmet or the backstrap?

And how small can you bend it for storing (like to put in your pocket) without damaging it?

Btw, my BH-201 has this annoying "feature" where it beeps when starting to receive a sound a a while in silence (kinda sounds the same as the beep it makes when volume is changed), does the 505 does it too?

And can i leave it turned on without being connected to the N900? With my 201 i can tell the N900 to disconnect (without even turing off bluetooth), and later ask the N900 to connect again (i've used to record the audio on the TV in my room while i was elsewhere in the apartment with my cell in hand, works kinda like a spybug i can leave somewhere then remotelly activate and deactivate later)

I use the same, BH 505, over a month now and i'd say it is simply incredibly stylish. However i would say tht the bass is a lil lower than what you'd expect. Overall its amazing and an ideal companion for the N-900. Wish they had chrome or black coloured. White is just too perfect :P

For the connection/disconnection thing - no problem, you can do it easily....status menu stuff

About the beep sound : no beep when volume changed but the beep is there for stop/play/change track....and dont't understand for the beep when receving a sound a while when in silence....

To store it in a pocket?...well a coat pocket surely....I carried it myself in a small bag with my other stuff around (keys, book...)

And about the running and sweating problem : nothing that bothered me but I'm running only 30 minutes 3 days a week (I'm more a tennis guy than a marathonian..) and never had much hair.......it's an advantage sometimes ;-)

...Yeah and I tested it only running at low temperatures - around 0°C but never under the rain....

AFAIK they do got it in black.

Chrome and tinted chrome would be awesome ( i would like a dark bluish-purple or strong orange tinted chrome one), "neon" (like UV glow paint) matte and shinny plastic colors would be great too (I would go for a safesty vest orange, or lime green or deep blue or text marker greenish-yellow one). Also retrofuturistic blue and silver with touches of black like on P5 VR gloves would be ineresting too.
