Mine is okay, can't say I really monitor it, but it connects and stays connected (A little too easily) and 'actual use' on it is consistent and clear.

I use it walking round and on different floors in the house. Not just the same room. Connecting is fairly straight forward and I have used wifi in publi places, (A restaurant) as well as home and a mates house. So it handles different areas okay.

Don't know range as I said I don't really monitor it.

I have found I get a better reception on my N900 from my bedroom than I do with the PC I have in there.

I'm sometimes monitoring the Hotspots with WifiEye. The reception is better than my Laptop (IBM Thinkpad).

second Mornage findings. Sometimes better than macbook pro mid 09 ons same critical spot.
Home is the best place to compare marginal wifi reception performance. The Nokia E65 I have sold because of poor WIFI percormance. This one seems better than E71.

My N900 works fine. Better than low-end Asus notebook, Winmobile Glofiish X650 and Thinkpad SL500 notebook.

Never had an issue connecting via a WLAN. Used Wi-Fi at home, in restaurants and via a tether to an iphone 3G. It has never failed to connect to a WLAN or dropped the connection once connected.
